A-Frames:

Usually, wooden house characterized by a roofline with steep angles that resembles a triangle, or the letter ‘A’. The roofline usually begins at or near the foundation line, with the two sides meeting centrally at the top

Airstreams

A specific brand of caravan, identifiable by the Airstream logo on its typically silver metal exterior.

Barns

A large building formerly used for the storage of farm products or feed, as well as farm animals and farm equipment, or is modeled after this type of structure.

Beach Houses

A vacation home on, near, or overlooking the beach.

Bell Tents

A cone-shaped tent having a single central supporting pole.

Boats

A boat (typically a houseboat) that is on the water and should be stationary. Yacht rentals are not permitted.

Bubbles

A circular structure usually with a transparent section that allows in natural light and star-gazing.

Cabins

A small wooden house in a wild or remote area, typically in, but not limited to a forest.

Cabooses

A former railway wagon from a train that has been turned into a liveable, or habitable, space.

Caravans

A motor vehicle or covered wagon that is equipped with living quarters. Can include, but not limited to, gypsy caravans, Western covered wagons, and buses. Must be stationary, with the exception of teardrop trailers.

Castles

A large building or fortified and walled residence, typically from the medieval period, often made of stone.

Caves

A cave or cavern is a natural void in the ground, specifically a space large enough for a human.

Containers

A former shipping container that has been repurposed into a livable, or habitable, space.

Cottages

A small house, typically made of stone or brick. Sometimes made of wood. Often found in the countryside, a rural or semi-rural location, or on a body of water, like a lake.

Designer Rentals

Contemporary vacation rentals, often purpose-built for luxury getaways.

Domes

A structure with a circular base with rounded walls and ceiling.

Floating Homes

A structure (cabin, tent, etc) that floats on the water, but must be stationary.

Hobbit Houses

Typically built into a hill, partially made of stone or wood, and with a round front door. Made popular by the film, “Lord of the Rings.”

Huts

A small, simple structure, typically with a thatched roof. Made of natural materials, including, but not limited to grass, palm leaves, branches, or mud.

Igloos

A type of dome-shaped shelter, typically built from blocks of solid/frozen snow.

Log Cabins

Cabins made of either whole or split logs

Pods

A one-room structure, typically with a curved roof; however, the structure’s shape can vary, including cubes.

Private Islands

A piece of land surrounded by water; must be able to rent the entire island.

Safari Tents

Safari tents are large, rectangular structures, supported by a framework of aluminum or fiberglass poles and occasionally have a platform or hard flooring. The walls and peaked roof are typically made of a light but weather-resistant and durable fabric-like canvas. Spacious and quadrangular interiors allow for simulation of home spaces and almost no limit to the potential for luxury.

Tented Cabins

They are made to look like a cabin but give you the feel of a tent. The canvas walls are stretched tight to give the appearance of a structured cabin.

Tiny Houses

A small house that is typically less than 1,000 square feet (or 93 square meters).

Tipis

A conical tent, typically made of cloth, canvas, and/or skins on a frame of poles. Originally invented and used by North American native tribes.

Towers

Accommodation with a cylindrical structure: tall, narrow buildings that are either free-standing or forming part of another building including lighthouses and windmills.

Tree Houses

A building, structure, or shelter built in/among the branches of a tree. Naturally elevated and typically reached by ladder, stairway, or bridge.

Vacation Rentals

Stand-alone self-contained accommodations or as part of a larger building, with a standard structure.

Villas

A very large and luxurious house, typically with either a yard, a garden, and/or a swimming pool.

Yurts

A circular domed tent, typically covered in canvas, felt, or skins that are stretched over a collapsible lattice frame.
